Our Mission
Light Be Ministries is an Ohio-based christian non profit whose mission is to be the light of Jesus in the world by helping mothers and children in need through practical resources, mentorship, compassionate care, and spiritual encouragement.
Through community outreach, discipleship, and acts of service, we seek to empower mothers in motherhood and purpose, and equip children with the support and opportunities they need to thrive.
Light Be Ministries which was born from a deeply held belief that every person is created by God for a special purpose, and that everyone deserves the support and opportunity to flourish in it. This conviction has led us to focus especially on mothers and children, walking alongside them as they discover, embrace, and live out that purpose.
Founded by Angel Umuhoza, Light Be grew from a personal desire to serve mothers and children while sharing the love of Jesus Christ. We believe mothers deserve to be supported, encouraged, and reminded that their God-given purpose matters, and that every child deserves the love, guidance, and resources they need to grow, flourish, and discover who God created them to be.
Through practical support, mentorship, spiritual encouragement, and acts of service, Light Be exists to walk alongside mothers and children, reminding them that they are seen, valued, and never alone.
Our mission is simple: to bring the light and love of Christ to mothers and children, and nurture a legacy of purpose that reaches generations.
